Meet the Makers
The Hands Behind the Craft.
Every piece begins with a person, a place, and a story.
The Collective
Kulani works alongside artisans, makers, weavers, leatherworkers, ceramicists, and community-based craft groups across Southern Africa. Many of the people we collaborate with carry generations of inherited knowledge and cultural practice within their work. Others are rebuilding livelihoods, rediscovering creativity, or developing entirely new skills through mentorship and opportunity. We believe artisans deserve visibility, recognition, and meaningful connection to the products they create.

When people purchase handmade work, they are not only purchasing an object. They are supporting knowledge, labour, creativity, culture, and livelihood.
The value of handmade work lives in the people behind it.
